The Zenith Bank Plc has donated motorcycles and bicycles to best deserving teachers and pupils of primary schools in Jigawa State.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, the Dutse branch manager of the bank, Alhaji Kabiru Adamu Kiyawa said, the donation is part of corporate social responsibilities by Zenith Bank to the Jigawa communities.
He explained that, three motorcycles were given to three best performing teachers and fifteen bicycles distributed to fifteen pupils in the state.
According to him, the bank in 2017 renovated 35 dilapidated class room and schools laboratories across the state.
The manager added that, on 2018 the bank also donated a Hilux car and constructed library and administrative block in Bamaina Academy.
He maintained that, in 2015 ten million for revitalisation of teachers and in 2016 supported state government with 16 buses while in 2018 the bank constructed six blocks of 24 classes and donated it to the state.
He then assured more support to the state government as part of corporate social responsibilities.
While delivering his remarks at the ceremony, the state deputy governor Alhaji Umar Namadi lauded the bank and urged others to copy from them.
