The Zamfara State ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Committee on Information has said Governor Matawalle-led administration was able to rescue over 500 captives and have since reunited with their beloved families.
In a swift reaction by a member of the Committee on Information of the PDP, Honorable Nasiru Altine Yakamata, on statement made by ex-Governor Abdulaziz Yari while assuring his teeming APC supporters at Talata Mafara last weekend, that, there is still hope for APC to regaining its lost power from PDP in the state.
Yakamata, who claimed that, the immediate past administration under Abdulaziz Yari did not pay needed attention on security matters said, the former Governor was only busy enjoying incessant trips within and outside the country.
“The former governor, had never within his two tenures spent a week in the state despite there were merciless killings, cattle rustlings and kidnappings across the fourteen local government areas of the state.
“Amongst other devastating issue been suffered in Zamfara during immediate past administration which strongly believed had attracted the Stoned Face of Almighty God, was the rampantly desecration of the holy Quran.
“People of Zamfara State cannot quickly forget those black days they were thrown in during the APC government when they lost thousands of their beloved ones, thousands of cows to rustlers and billions of naira paid as ransom to kidnappers”, Yakamata has recalled.
He assured that, APC will never have way into power to govern Zamfara State under whatever process provided the teeming dismissed civil servants and their defendants would live to witness political activities in the future.
