Zamfara: Group offers prayers to tackle armed banditry, kidnappings

A Coalition of Blinds for Sustainable Leadership (CBSL) Zamfara state wing in collaboration with other people with special needs, has observed a congregational prayers with a view to spiritually seek Almighty God’s supports on the fights embarked upon by the Nigerian Army against armed banditry, cattle rustling and kidnappings that bedeviled the state for decade.
Speaking during the prayers sessions held at the personal resident of the National Provost Marshall of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Bashir Idris Ataka in Gusau the state capital, the state Chairman of the Coalition, Honorable Abdurrahman Lawali Kagara said, the level of criminal activities in the state needs spiritual approach.
“Our group deem it necessary to mobilize all our members and other groups of people with disabilities from the fourteen local government areas of the state to converge at the premises of the personal resident of a closed-friend to the state Governor, Alhaji Bashir Idris Ataka to seek God’s intervention for our gallant security personnel to end the lingering insecurity challenges in the state”, honorable Kagara has prayed.
He however, called on Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar to consider their group with offers of services in running the affairs of the state, adding that, “Our nature of being disabled does not mean we cannot contribute in any way towards the development of the state as there is socio-economic potential in us”.
In his remarks, the National Provost Marshall of the APC, Alhaji Bashir Ataka assured that the message delivered by the coalition through his office would be passed to the state Governor as it contained weight that deserves executive attention.
