Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State has sworn-in new commissioner to man the Ministry of Education, Ibrahim Abdullahi Gusau, and a Special Adviser, Luqman Majidadi.
Matawalle, who charged the two newly appointed officers on the dedication to services expected of them, said they should put the development of the State first so as to prove the yearnings of the good people of State.
Until his new appointment as the Special Adviser, Luqman Majidadi was appointed a Special Assistant to the Governor on Scholarship Matters.
“As you have just been sworn in, let me remind you that the task ahead of you is that of justifying the goodwill and confidence bestowed on you by the government and the people of Zamfara State. You should, therefore, take your appointments as a call to service.
“In the oath of office that has just been administered to you, you have sworn, among other things, that you will never allow your personal interests to influence your official decisions and official conducts. You are therefore expected to be guided by this oath and exhibit a high level of integrity and selflessness in all matters that may come before you in your respective positions”, Matawalle has challenged.
The Governor further called on the people of the State to extend their hands of support and cooperation to the newly sworn-in Commissioner and Special Adviser to enable the new appointees to be able to discharge their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
