A coalition of youths, women and elders organizations under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state, have passed a votes of no confidence on a current member, Honorable Isa Ibrahim Ruwan Doruwa, representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
Hundreds of people who converged at the Gusau Airstrip at the weekend for a grand rally, urged the electorates from the two effected local governments to rethink and take a decision for a better and focused politician to vote for in 2019 to replace the present member representing the constituency, whom they alleged, could not drive dividends of democracy for his people.
Speaking at the rally, one of the coalition leaders, Alhaji Nasiru MO, explained that the rally was organised in order to register concern over the present situation the Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency found itself in the hand of the incumbent member, saying the area has been left behind in terms of benefiting expected dividends of democracy.
“We are rest assured that should somebody like Darma of Gusau, Mukthar Ahmed, be elected to represent Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, definitely there would be a positive change for the masses in the area in terms of most needed development”, Nasiru MO has said.
Also in her speech, women leader of the coalition, Hajiya Nana Tsafe, insisted that there is no effort whatsoever witnessed from the embattled lawmaker representing the constituency in any way to touch the lives of people across the two affected local governments.
“It is time for electorates to stop money-based elections but rather embark on personality assessment, a politician’s developmental background and exposure and the zeal towards moving his people to the next level, I call on you women to ensure that all self-centered politicians are pasted out”, Nana stressed.
