The Zamfara state newly deployed Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kenneth Ebrimson who reported and commenced duty last week Friday, has assured of adequate security across the recently attacked villages and the state at large, assuring calm environment for legitimate businesses henceforth.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Shehu Muhammad, Mr. Kenneth gave the assurance while inspecting Maradun, Faru and Maidawa villages under Maradun local government areas, informing of the readiness of his Command to embark upon operation comb the bush by robust teams with a view to ensure total return of law and order.
The Commissioner further gave immediate order for the deployment of mobile Policemen detachment with 3 Hilux vehicles for quick response against further criminal activities capable of consuming innocent lives and property across the recently attacked villages under Maradun local government area.
The statement reads, “In the same vein, the Commissioner inspected some tactical strategic pin down points along the route and repositioned the men for a robust high visibility patrols, including other crime preventive methodologies such as bush combing, land allocation and Aberdeen system of patrols”.
Earlier, the new Commissioner of Police visited Shinkafi and Galadi villages under Shinkafi local government area for the same purpose as they have been also marked as easy target for the bandits, assured provision of most needed security in efforts to make the entire state a crime-free society.
