From Ahmed Kaigama, Bauchi

Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state has commended all the security agencies in the state for what he termed as spirit of teamwork, commitment to duty, patriotism and sacrifice to the Nigerian state in the course of service.

Yuguda, at a farewell dinner organised at the weekend by security agencies in the state in honour of the out-going Commissioner of Police, noted that the agencies have put a lot in making the people in the state sleep with their two eyes closed.

Yuguda observed that the submission to service and loyalty exhibited by the out-going Bauchi Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ladan remains unparalleled among his peers in the Nigeria Police.

Mr. Mohammed Ladan, who had worked in the police force in various capacities and in ten states of the federation, including the Force Headquarters in Abuja before serving in Bauchi, is retiring at the age of 60 after putting 35 years of meritorious service to the nation.

Yuguda also while noticing that he as the Governor is the greatest beneficiary of Ladan’s services to the people of the state, congratulated him for retiring at what he termed ‘tender age’.

The celebrant, Alhaji Mohammed Ladan has described the day as very great for him, which he has been waiting to see, saying the day of retirement has come, I’m extremely thankful to God, to the People of Bauchi state who cooperated with me very well for the past two years that I have been here”.

Those at the farewell dinner included the Bridge Commander of the 33 Artillery Bridge, Bauchi, Brigadier-General JGK Nyam, Men and Officers of the Nigerian Prison Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Directorate of State.
