Youths in Yobe State have been urged to vote out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the office of the presidency as well as from all elective seats in the state.
This is contained in a press release by the President, Yobe Youths Initiative Forum (YYIF), Comrade Yerima Goni, after a conference of youth associations held at the conference hall of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa university Bauchi at the weekend in reaction to the series of attacks in Yobe State by the Boko Haram group.
The group noted the indifferent attitude of the presidency towards the lives and properties of people in Yobe that has continued to be destroyed by the Boko Haram group thereby inflicting hardship and trauma on the lives of the people.
“We are always scared, frightened and traumatized by the incessant attacks by Boko Haram and there is no sign of comfort from the federal government nor any hope of ending this insurgency, I therefore urge the entire youths and people of Yobe State to vote out PDP from office of the presidency, from national assembly seats, states and local government to councilor seats and give zero tolerance to any agent that is campaigning for PDP as 2015 general election knocks” Yerima said.
He also called for the enlightenment of the people towards choosing the right candidate as they cast their votes in the coming election.
“I also appeal to other youths organizations to voice out with an enlightenment tune to let the masses know and choose the right and competent persons while casting their vote,” the YYIF president urged.
