Ahead of the 2015 elections, a youth group, Nasarawa Eggon Progressives Movement, has endorsed Sir Francis Ewuga (KSM) to contest for the seat of the Nasarawa Eggon east constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
The endorsement took place at the Chris Abashi Tourist Resort, Endehu, near Akwanga when youth groups in their hundreds led by their leaders who include Daniel Kudu and Fimba Wulko unanimously passed the endorsement with a voice vote.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the endorsement, president of Akun Youth Council, Abimiku Adda (Esq.), said the endorsement is to inspire Sir Ewuga to contest for the Nasarawa Eggon east state constituency seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), come 2015.
The youth president gave reason for their action to bad governance being experienced in the constituency and coupled with the ideal chance of the endorsee to change the political scenario in favour of the youths as well as the spirit of dexterity seen in him (Ewuga) to serve his people diligently.
His words: “Our collective move to endorse Ewuga to contest for the state assembly’s seat in our constituency is to allow a youth to emancipate the area from the hands of bad leadership and shackles of bad government as being witnessed since the advent of the present democratic dispensation.”
