A Group under the auspices of Association of Arewa Yoruba Youth, AAYY, has expressed concern over the insecurity in the country and particularly in the Northern region, calling on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to take proactive measures to curb the situation.
The chairman of the Association of Arewa Yoruba Youth, Abuja Chapter, Engr. Abiola Abdulsalam stated this in a statement made available to media in kaduna yesterday.
“The security challenges in Northern Nigeria has indeed become a thing of great concern to all. This has resulted to killings, kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling and so many social vices that have become the order of the day.
“Killings of all kinds and kidnapping for ransoms have also taken a greater proportion resulting to the loss of lives and property of unimaginable magnitude destroyed thereby causing great setbacks to the people in all spheres of life.
