Yoruba Council of Obas disown Aregbabuwo, bemoan visit to Osinbajo

Association of Yoruba Traditional Council of Obas said the visit of Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo claiming to be leader of the Council of Obas is not for Obas.
The Association made this known in their 17th quarterly meeting of the Nineteen Northern states and FCT Abuja.
In a communiqué issued at the end of their quarterly meeting attended by all Obas of the nineteen northern states and signed by their Secretary General, Dr Alani Kolawale Adeyemi, the Oba of Gumbi of Adamawa State and the Oba of Borno who is the chairman Alh Hassan Alao, said the personality lived in Kaduna, and a politician seeking political relevance.
Arigbobuwa, on the 5th of November visited Vice President Osinbajo and claimed to be the chairman of the Council of Obas.
The communiqué, said
he is not known to the association let alone being the chairman of Yoruba Council of Obas for nineteen northern states and FCT.
The communiqué called on the Presidency, National Assembly and all the security agencies of this country to be beware of the activities of this person. “He is an Imposter and should be treated as such,” they said.
They also called on their esteem royal fathers and their Majesties from South Western Yoruba States, parents and the general people of Oduduwa’s descent to beware of the activities of some fraudsters that are recounting youth of ages 15-25 years from Osun and Oyo States in particular to come to work, secure admission to institutions of higher learning or for empowerment in northern states to desist from embarking on the journey to any part of the northern Nigeria without proper arrangement.
The association thanked his royal Highness, the Emir of Gombe Alh Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III for his landmark remarks and warm reception accorded the association during their courtesy visit at his palace.
