Yobe State House of Assembly has approved for some transfers to be made within the ministry of work’s approved 2014 budget to augment construction of codes to enable for the completion of the on-going construction of roads across the state within the year under review.
The approval followed the House deliberation on a request presented to the House by the Secretary to the State government, requesting for the House approval to effect such virement in the 2014 approved budget where a total sum of N1.150 billion was made from some codes in
respect of the capital expenditure for the ministry of works to augment other codes for the construction of federal roads and construction of state roads within the same budget.
Following a unanimous vote by 23 out of the 24 members of the House present during the sitting for granting the request, the House has therefore authorized the issuance of a virement warrant made up of a total sum of N1.150 billion in the ministry of works for the attainment of government set objectives in the provision of road infrastructure in the state within the year under review.
