In its effort to see the end of insurgency in the state, Yobe state Executive Council has approved the sum of N350 million for the procurement of 20 operational vehicles for distribution to security agencies in the state.
This was the outcome of the Executive Council meeting held yesterday and chaired by the state Deputy Governor, Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu.
Briefing the press after the meeting, the state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Alhaji Mala Musti, said the vehicle would be distributed to the state vigilante group who has been very helpful to the military in the fight against insurgency in the state.
The council equally approved the sum of N82.16 for upgrading of the Banquet Hall at the Government House that would include the re-rendering of perimeter wall, provision of dwarf wall and interlocking of the gate house of the Banquet hall.
The council also approved the sum of N972.39 million for the payment of tuition fees in respect of 840 students sponsored by the state government in Nigeria Tulip International Colleges in Mamudo, Yobe, Kano, Kaduan and Abuja.
