Yobe state executive council has approved the sum of N323.32 million for the upgrading of the now completed medical science college at the state university to ensure its take-off to carry out effective services.
The state commissioner of home affairs, information and culture, Alh. Mala Musti, disclosed this yesterday while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the council’s meeting.
He stated that out of the total amount, the sum of N76.07 million would be used for the electrification of the college through the procurement and installation of 2 numbers of 250 KVA sound proof generator sets to ensure successful operations of the college, while the sum of N247.25 million would be spend on the procurement of laboratory equipment.
The meeting equally approved the sum of N155.02 million for the construction of 1.1 kilometer road and 2.2 meters drainage at Baba Shede borehole in Nasarawa via Goni Bututu Mosque to Mai Abali Ibn Idrissa crescent in Damaturu the state capital.
The council also approved the sum of N250 million for consultancy service at the international cargo airport in Damaturu, the state capital, which would go a long way in ensuring work and equipment installation to meet the requirement of the Nigerian civil aviation and international civil aviation organization.
