Thousands of supporters of Jigawa North-East senator, Ubali Shitu, yesterday stormed the city of Hadejia, chanting “despite we love Buhari, we dumped APC for our boss for the forthcoming 2019 general election”.
The chairman of the organising committee of the rally, Tijjani Usman, told journalists that their grudges is not with President Muhammad Buhari but rather with the state Governor, Muhammad Badaru and the leadership of the APC in the state.
According to him, “We must vote out Governor Badaru in the forthcoming general election, Buhari still remains a quality candidate in the country but the people surrounding him are bad eggs and not patriotic to the development of the Nigeria”.
Usman maintained that during the last general election, his Senator, Ubali Shitu, were among the real supporters of Muhammad Buhari, unlike some Governors, including that of Jigawa state, whom he said worked against Buhari at the primary election.
The Chairman of the rally, who described Governor Badaru as deceiver, said he has done nothing to seven out of eight local governments in Hadejia district.
He added that Senator Ubali Shitu joined Senate President Bukola Saraki with the aim to get more dividend of democracy to his people at Hadejia Senatorial district and which he has done.
