Why Nigeria needs Buhari-APC Stalwart

By Ali Abare Abubakar

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship aspirant in Kogi State,Prince Rotimi Obadofin has said that the country needs General Muhammadu Buhari more than he needs to become president, particularly, at this critical period of the nation’s history, in view of the challenges confronting the country.

Speaking at the stakeholders’ meeting of the party in Lokoja, Prince Obadofin said Nigeria is currently at a cross road, saying only a leader in the mould of General Buhari can pull the country out of the precipice.

He pointed out that the presidential candidate of the APC has all it takes to restore sanity in the system as well as tackle the ugly security challenges in the country, which he maintained, has led to loss of too many lives.

The APC stalwart decried the pathetic situation in the North eastern part of Nigeria where thousands of people have become refuges in their own country, describing the taking over of some parts of Borno State by the insurgents as unacceptable.

He further posited that the nation needed a strong personality like General Buhari to put an end to the current “madness and terror being unleashed on innocent citizens by evil men who do not mean well for the country”.

He described the usual language of “being on top of the situation” as mere rhetoric, saying if anything, it has only proved that the Goodluck Jonathan led government is incapable of handling the situation.

Prince Obadofin therefore called on Nigerians to use the forthcoming general elections to effect change in the leadership of the country, so as to change things for the better.

He maintained that every patriotic citizen must be part of the struggle to salvage the country and return it to the part of prosperity, even as he enjoined the loyalists and supporters of the APC in the state to work collectively in delivering the state to General Buhari in the coming election.
