The Vice Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Victor Peretemode has said that the University has zero tolerance on forgery and criminal activities, disclosing that several students of the institution were dismissed for clear case of forgery and criminal activities.
Professor Victor Peretemode at media conference on Monday said the University had archived rare feat through proactive conflict and crisis prevention/ resolution measures, adding that in the last few years, the University had eliminated cult activities, examination malpractices, academic and intellectual dishonesty including heresy such as plagiarism, misconduct, malingers actions, immorality, extortion of students, grade fixing and lack of professionalism.
“We at the Delta State University have been described as one of the most peaceful, law-abiding, morally upright, academically excellent, professionally competent with most stable academic Calendar in Nigeria, the institution had accomplished significant success in installing a regime of discipline, peaceful standard and high job performance among staff and students”, Professor Victor Peretemode said.
He noted that the development as demonstrated by the University hitherto puts it ahead of other universities, especially the state owned Universities in Nigeria and commended the state Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his supportive roles in the last four years of his administration.
