Time seems to be running out on Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye with reports that his EPL club, West Brom is getting ‘exasperated’ about his lack of impact since arriving for a club record transfer fee in the summer.
Ideye has made only two League starts since making the switch from Dynamo Kiev for a fee thought to be around 8 Million Pounds and a report on the UK Telegraph claimed that management staff are understood to be losing their cool on the Nigerian striker.
To underline how bad the situation was at the Hawthorns, the report in the Telegraph claimed that earlier in the season that one player even asked if Ideye had been promoted from the under-21s to join first-team training for the day.
It will be recalled that West Brom Coach Alan Irvine admitted that he never saw Ideye play before agreeing to his acquisition as he only relied on the judgment of the club’s scouts.
While things are not going the way of Ideye at his club, it is not any better for the striker in the national team were he has been overlooked in recent times albeit most times due to fitness issues.
With just one Cup goal to his name yet, it is suggested that Ideye may soon hit the ground running when his family joins him later this month with their paper work being finalized.
