The 330 Ex-PDP councilors that announced their defection from their former party to the APC have re-affirmed their defection and stressed that they have not changed their position since their earlier announcement.
Their re-affirmation was coming at a time when a section of their members were alleged to have rejected the move and announced the dismissal of the chairman of the forum, Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim Dutsin-ma.
Speaking with newsmen in company of members of his executive council, the chairman of the forum, Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim said he still remained the chairman of the forum, describing any move to remove him as inconsequential.
He noted that it was under his leadership that the 330 ex- councilors negotiated their defection to APC due to the intervention of a member of House of Representatives, representing Dutsin-ma/ Kurfi, Alhaji Danlami Kurfi.
He similarly displayed a list containing signatures of all the 330 defectors, saying they all agree to withdraw their suit against the state government with a view of government supporting them to settle their entitlements.
Ibrahim stressed that they have confidence in the intervention of rep member, Alhaji Danlami Kurfi, and the way the governor received them and agree to their demands to pay their backlog of entitlements.
The chairman disclosed that the state governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, has agreed to receive them Monday next week to formally declare their defection to the APC.
He called on all his members to remain united and not give chance to misguided people to come in and scuttle the good intention of the forum.
