Chairman of Nigerian premier league club, Kaduna United and former international, Garba Lawal (MON) said his club is determined to fight all comers as the second stanza of the league commences soon. He said football is always competitive and is full of ups and downs but stated that his team is ready to face any club in the league. To achieve this, he said the players need to be in the right frame of mind and have great character to succeed. The Olympic gold medalist said the target of his club is to continue to win their games. “
I believe each and every club wants to win but the thing is you cannot win all your games because winning will take you to the top of the log,” he said. He said though they have been receiving support from the government but the onus lies with the players to raise their game so that the team will not be relegated at the end of the season. Kaduna United at the end of the first stanza garnered 21 points from 19 games and occupies the 18th position on the league table. It would be recall that the league had been on break as a result of the just concluded 2014 World Cup hosted by Brazil.
