The All Progressives Congress (APC), Katsina state chapter has vowed that the bomb attack on their leader, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari had encourage them to work hard towards bringing desired leadership changes in the country.
Addressing a press conference, yesterday in Katsina, the Public Relations Officer of Katsina State Chapter of the party, Alhaji Shu’aibu Shittu noted that the attack has further strengthened their resolve to continue with their struggle.
He added ‘we are not afraid of been killed in the struggle for a better Nigeria. With what happened to our leader we are hopeful that victory is near. When we started the struggle we thought we will not survive beyond 2007. But God willing here we are today’.
Shittu disclosed that the party decided to address the press to douse tension in the state, where he said some civil society groups had planned mass demonstration over the issue whose outcome according to him cannot be imagine.
The PRO therefore thanked God that Buhari survived the attack, adding ‘ had it been Buhari was killed in the attack the country would have been on fire by now. We should therefore continue to pray’”.
