The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, has expressed sadness over the demise of the Secretary of Plateau state chapter of Jama’atul Nasrul Islam (JNI), Alhaji Alhassan Shuiabu, who died on Sunday, January 12, after a protracted illness.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, the Deputy Speaker described late Shuaibu as a great civil servant and an Islamic leader who impacted on the lives of many Nigerians and left a legacy of honour and sacrifice.
According to him, “Late Alhassan Shuiabu was indeed a great scholar, civil servant per excellence and an inspiring leader who impacted on the lives of many through his peace building initiatives, generosity and support to the members of the society”.
“We have indeed lost a man of peace, a respected leader, father who spent greater part of his life in the service of God and humanity as the secretary of Jama’atul Nasrul Islam (JNI).
“We are, however, consoled by the fact that he left a good legacy that will continue to be a source of inspiration to the family he left behind, as well as to the Muslim Umma.”
While extending his condolences to the family of the deceased, the government and people of Plateau State, the Deputy Speaker prayed Almighty Allah to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
