Vote PDP in Yobe-Adamu Waziri urges

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged Yobe People to vote in its favor during the forthcoming February polls. The PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in the State, Adamu Maina Waziri, made the plea during a Zonal rally in Potiskum town.

According to him, Yobe state has suffered neglect in the hands of the ruling All Progressives Congree Party (APC) on the provision of basic needs of the citizens of the young state.

“I call on you to come out en mass and vote for PDP, it is the right party that would improve your living conditions in the state, we would execute meaningful people oriented projects for you, we would offer you descent and honest leadership to make a difference with where you are now, we would improve industrialization, education, health care services, mechanized farming, improve the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), empower youths and women as well as provide improved package for civil servants and retirees.”

He also advised them to shun violence and play the game according to its rules “I advise you to shun politics of violence, let’s do it peacefully in a matured manner”.

Waziri further said Yobe deserves a good and transparent leadership to move forward and compete with its counterparts in the Country. He used the forum to call on the PDP supporters to all obtain voters card to enable the party wrest power from the ruling APC in Yobe.

Also Speaking, Alhaji Adam Kayeri said “Yobe APC-led administration has ignored the welfare of Civil Servants; no promotion, no leave grant, no annual increments, no payment of pension and benefits.”

Others who spoke included Hajiya Mairo Amshi,, Dr. Sani Ciromari, Sabo Garbu, Adamu Godowoli, Alhaji Adamu Sirajo and Alhaji Ali Nanu.
