The village Head of Passo community in Gwagwalada area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief John Joshua, has called on the chairman of the area council, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, to as a matter of urgency provide the community with a police out post, so as tackle the problem of insecurity in the area.
He also begged the chairman to establish a health centre in the community, in order to prevent the people from travelling out to some neighbouring towns for medical treatment.
Joshua, who made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily yesterday, at his residence in Passo, further pleaded with the chairman to repair some dilapidated roads in the community.
Also, he called on the administration of the area council to establish a market in the area, so as to boost the socio-economic status of the community.
He further asked the leadership of the council to ensure the provision of enough waste collection point and waste receptacles for the people of the community to properly dispose waste they generate in the area.
Equally, the monarch solicited for the assistance of the area council to map-out plots of land for the community, where the indigenous inhabitants would erect their l houses in the area.
Joshua, however, reiterated that his leadership would continue to be loyal to the constituted authority, and urged the residents to shun any act capable of heightening tension in the community.
