The 2018 version of US-Nigeria Investment Summit will focus on highlighting numerous untapped investment opportunities in Nigeria for Nigerian and US investors and companies, the Nigerian Team of the US-Nigeria Investment Summit 2018 has said.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja yesterday, at the Centre for Development of Institutions (CDI), the UNIS2018 Nigerian coordinator, Chris Ibe, said the summit is coming in line with the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration efforts to attract foreign investment in Nigeria.
Ibe said the summit is designed to bring together Nigerian business owners to interact and share ideas with US investors and heads of US companies for the purpose of identifying business opportunities, areas of partnership and investment.
“Sequel to the above and in appreciation to your organization’s role to the growth and development of Nigerian economy, we hereby encourage and warmly welcome the participation of all heads of Nigerian business organizations, government ministries and agencies to this great summit considering the new business fronts and opportunities that will be created for the Nigerian business community and sector” he said.
He said the summit is hosted by the Ambassador of Nigeria to the United States, Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor.
According to him, “This summit is focused on highlighting the numerous untapped investment opportunities in Nigeria for Nigerian and US investors and companies.
“The US-Nigeria Investment Summit Group, a team of patriotic Nigerians based in the United States in partnership with the Nigeria Embassy in Washington will be hosting the US-Nigeria Investment Summit 2018 in Washington DC on the 21st to 23rd April, 2018.”
