UPP congratulates Oshiomhole, other elected APC national officers

The leadership and members of the United Progressive Party (UPP) have congratulated the newly elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , Comrade Adams Oshiomhile.
The UPP has similarly congratulated other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party who were successfully elected at the Convention.
The party, in a statement by its National Chairman, Chief Chekwas Okorie yesterday in Abuja, pointed out that the emergence of Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the ruling party at this election year and at this critical stage of the nation’s democratic developmentis no doubt challenging.
It however expressed the confidence that the new APC National Chairman will bring his wealth of experience, maturity and the sagacity necessary to provide robust leadership to the party and contribute in stabilizing anddeepening democracy in Nigeria as a whole.
According to the UPP’s statement, “The leadership and members of the United Progressive Party (UPP)
congratulate you on your election as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at your recent National Convention held at Abuja on Saturday 23rd June, 2018. We similarly congratulate other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party who were equally successfully elected at the Convention.
“Your emergence as the National Chairman of the ruling party at this election year and at this critical stage in our democratic development is no doubt challenging. We are confident that you will bring your wealth of experience, maturity and the sagacity necessary to provide robust leadership to your party and contribute in stabilizing and deepening democracy in Nigeria as a whole.
“As a political party in opposition we will collaborate with you through constructive engagement in the overall interest, progress and development of our dear country Nigeria where justice, equity, fair play and strict adherence to the rule of law shall prevail”, the party said.
