The Managing director of a popular table water industry, ‘Our Choice’ in Makurdi, Benue State capital, named as Edwin was yesterday kidnapped at gun point by unknown persons
The Benue State Police Command confirmed that Edwin was abducted at about 7:30pm, while eye witness said the gun men shot sporadically into the air before whisking away the businessman.
Police Public Relations’ Officer, PPRO John Bako said that the force have intensified efforts to apprehend the kidnappers who he said are yet to contact anybody or demand for any ransom.
He urged members of the public to go about their normal business and report any suspicious movement to any police station for immediate action.
It should be noted that the state had in recent times, witnessed several kidnap cases, particularly in Gboko and Katsina-Ala local government areas.
