Governorship candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Osmond Ukanacho, yesterday picked the party’s five million governorship expression of interest and nomination forms at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking at the party national secretariat, Ukanacho, who was accompanied by his supporters in Imo state, vowed to displace Okorocha from the state’s government house in 2015.
He said UPP is a good and transparent platform to actualize his ambition of governing Imo state and promised to implement the party’s manifesto if elected governor in 2015.
He served Governor Rochas Okorocha a quit notice and urged him to start preparing his handover note to a UPP progressive government in 2015.
Meanwhile, he is the first person to pick UPP governorship form for the Imo state governorship election.
National Chairman of UPP, Chekwas Okorie, who handed the nomination form to Ukanacho, described him as a committed and loyal party member.
He urged the Imo state electorates to vote for UPP, stating that the party will sweep the entire South East geo-political zone and beyond in the forthcoming general election.
