Heartland midfielder, Julius Ubido has said his side were convinced that they would record a win against hard-fighting Kaduna United last Wednesday. The Naze Millionaires won 2-0 against the Crocodiles on match day 26 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
Midfielder, John Nnam scored the match opener in the 10th minute while forward, Osas Okoro grabbed the second in the 20th minute to hand his side the three points. Ubido said the goal margin would have been more if not for some missed chances at goal in the later part of the hotly contested duel. “We were convincing and deservedly won the encounter though Kaduna United actually gave us a stiff challenge expected of a side struggling to stay alive. We’re highly satisfied with the 2-0 win though it could have been more but we’re really grateful to God for helping us to secure the three points. I think other teams will begin to take us more serious with this win in our resolve to fight for the top spot on the log. We remain positive of securing one of the continental tickets at the end of the ongoing league season,” he said.
