From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna
Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akanda and the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed yesterday visited former military Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) in his Kaduna home.
The visit, held behind closed doors and which lasted for more than an hour, is coming barely a week after the General survived a bomb attack suspected to have been targeted at him around Kawo market, in Kaduna, on his way to his country home, Daura.
Even though he declined interview with journalists after the meeting and only shook hands and left the Kaduna home of the former head of state, The Nation gathered from an insider source that, Tinubu was there to commiserate with General Buhari.
According to the source, “The visit is not unconnected with the recent attempt on the life of the General. You should know that, the development had continued to attract dignitaries to Kaduna on symphony visit to him.”
General Buhari too did not speak to journalists; he simply said, “I have issued a statement before and I cannot say anything contrary to that.”
