Kaduna state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology Alhaji Sani Jarfar has said technology has come to help Nigerians afford education at lesser price.
He made the assertion during the Unveiling of the Alakowe Smart School App at the Kaduna Information Communication Technology (ICT Hub) yesterday.
Jarfar who was represented by the Director of ICT in the ministry Mr. Dikko David Danlami said what is being expended on digital teaching is in order because it is accessible at the finger tips.
“This APP will help teachers to deliver quality education, just as it helps teachers to upgrade their knowledge too,” he said
Speaking in the same vein, a member representing , Ijebu-North federal constituency, in the lower Chamber Honourable Adesegun Abdulmujud, expressed happiness over the launch of the APP.
According to him, in this ICT era, without the knowledge of digital education, one is on his own.
Emphasizing on how Ogun State people value education, the lawmaker simply said, “In Ogun State we value education more than food.
“I appreciate this programme, and that is why I came to lend my voice, to commend the organisers, and indeed I commend their efforts”.
Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director, of Baatel, Mr. Awojobi said, “Alakowe is the premier e-tutor designed for content and relevant academic needs that aims at supporting the development of innovative educational digital content.
“This revolutionary tool is designed for primary and secondary school students, focusing on building their learning skills through high resolution video and audio presentations of approved subjects in their curriculum.”
