Technical team applauds Niger FADAMA 111 AF projects

The National technical team of Fadama 111 Additional Funding has commended the Niger State office and its Coordinator, Engr. Aliyu Usman Kutigi for living up to the expectations of the scheme.
The team leader, Samuel Alabi gave the clarification yesterday in Minna during their meeting before going to the field for the inspection of the project sites to review the implementation progress of the projects.
Alabi said that the Niger state was unique in times of technical hands, service delivery and its potential to deliver results hence the national body is indebted to the state.
According to him, the team is in the state to actually verify and ascertained the level of implementation stage of the projects in the state and where to add value.
“Much is learn when in Niger state that is unique, the state is always in the mind at the national level and not being visited often like other states because Niger state have capable hands that have the potential to deliver result, we are indebted to you due to the state tremendous achievement of Fadama 111AF” he stated.
The State Project Coordinator, Engr. Aliyu Usman Kutigi in his welcome address however, appreciated the Technical Assistance Mission to the state which is aimed at enhancing the capacity and an opportunity to tiding up.
Kutigi noted that the mission of the visit was to review the progress of the projects implementation process across all the project components to ensure that the projects are on the right track to achieve its main objectives.
According to him, “the need for this exercise is of paramount importance in order to fill in areas where there are gaps and correct mistakes to ensure quality report for the next World Bank Mission and good compliance with the project implementation” he stated.
He further enumerated some of the state score cards to includes; rehabilitation of 31.10km of roads in 5 locations at 85% completion, rehabilitated 96 access roads of 396km with 93 culverts and 17 mini bridges constructed and a host of others like 296 unemployed youths graduate were trained in various agricultural enterprises of their choice and the candidates will be supported with grants.
