Sunderland and Edo Universities are exploring areas of collaboration that would help to deepen teaching and learning in the Institutions.
To this end, Sunderland University in United Kingdom delegation at the Weekend visited Edo University, Etsako West Local Government Area of the State
The management of Universities had signed a Memorandum of Understanding on exchange programme.
Sunderland delegation was led by the Director of International Studies, Mr. Ian Moody while Dr. Anthony Kifordu, Director of Edo International Liaison conducted round the Faculties, Hostels and Entrepreneurship Development Centre of Edo University.
Moody, assured that the MoU will among others, provide a multi-culture community for staff and students in the Universities.
According to him, “not just students coming to the UK to gain experience, but also students exchange staff exchange, joint research, joint funding of needs.it is a lot of different collaborations that both universities can work together on that can benefit both universities”.
On his part, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Edo University Iyamho, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor expressed happiness with the development saying that the MOU will be of a symbiotic benefit to both Universities.
He further stated that: “We have discussed and look at the curricula of the universities in several areas where we agreed, the harmonization of the two sides.
