Stop hostility to enhance business investments, Delta monarch causions youths

The Ovie of Uvwie kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1, in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State on Monday cautioned restive youths in the area against hostility for the provision of enabling environment for investors.
The monarch who spoke to journalists in his palace on the unwholesome activities of the youths in the area in the recent times, insisted that it was only peace that can provide the enabling environment for investors, noting that Ekpan community as part of Uvwie had been endowed with huge industries and commercial potentials needed to be fully harnessed for the benefit of the people.
He said: “restiveness had deprived the people of Ekpan of harnessing those potentials they ought to have by now, I call on the warring factions, and groups in the community to sheath their swords in the interest of positive development of the area, it will not help in the development, rather investors will runaway” while urging the youths to always respect constituted authorities, and that leaders should always carry everybody along, the monarch rained curses on those formatting trouble in Uvwie kingdom a bad name, and assured investors were coming to invest in Uvwie kingdom.
According to him, “I want to always warn against the indiscriminate selling of lands, mostly in the under developed areas of the Local Government area such as Ohorie and Oregha communities, lands have been sold with all manners of lawlessness, I will not tolerate such, those involved in the act should desist or face will face the wrath of the ancestor soon”.
He however expressed appreciation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the proposed phase II tankers park in Ekpan, saying that it was a welcome project that had been long overdue, assuring that the people were ready to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the Delta State Government on the project.
