South East /South South pre-season tournament excites FC Inter

Nigerian Nationwide League campaigners, FC Inter of Enugu are excited on their inclusion in the South East /South South Preseason Tournament beginning in Nnewi this weekend.
The President of the Club, Francis Yaweh while reacting to the draws which pitch them against top flight teams like Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia, Rivers Utd of Port Harcourt, and NPFL returnees, Heartland FC of Owerri in Group A, said his boys will justify their inclusion by giving the “big boys” a run for their money.
“We’re excited to be part of this competition, this is a rear privilege and we will do our best not to disappoint our teeming fans and the organizers for believing in us. Our players are excited at this gesture, and they have promised to make good use of the opportunity to showcase themselves to the world “ he said.
He commended the organizers for initiating the tournament, pointing out that it will enable the clubs involved to prepare adequately for the 2017 /2018 League Season.
FC Inter is expected to play their opening match against Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia on Sunday. The match holds at FC Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium Nnewi by 10am.
FCT SWAN Set For Ahmed Yusuf Fresh 5-Aside, Ramsey Ogele Cup Draws Tomorrow
The draw ceremony for the 2017 FCT chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) annual games will take place at the Conference Room of the FCT Sports Council, Abuja on Wednesday, November 15. 2017.
According to chairman of 2017 FCT SWAN WEEK committee, Mike Oboh, a total of 10 media teams who have completed their registration will be drawn to compete for Ahmed Yusuf Fresh 5-Aside football trophy while six media teams will be competing for Ramsey Ogele table tennis trophy.
Oboh also confirmed that out of the 10 teams for Ahmed Yusuf Fresh 5-Aside Football competition, three were from Television outfits, four from radio stations, and three print and online media.
FCT acting director of sports development, Mrs Dilichukwu Onyedinma, Chairman FCT Football Association, Musa Talle, and Mr Kayode Adeniyi, top the list of dignitaries expected to grace the event.
Also expected to be at the draw ceremony are the team coordinators of all participating media houses, media chief executives, sports editors and reporters of all the media houses.
It will also use the occasion to roll out its programmes for the Award and Gala night slated for November 23 at Ayalla Hotel hotel in the city centre.
