The internationally accredited Management Systems Certification Service of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has certified an Abuja-based law firm, Ace Solicitors, as one of the first law firms in Nigeria to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Standards.
The presentation of the ISO Certificate to ACE Solicitors in Abuja by the Director General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria, Osita Aboloma Esq. also coincided with the launching of the firm’s broadcast law practice in Pidgin English tagged “Law in Pidgin English Radio” by the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
Speaking, SON Director-General represented by Engr. Olumide Alade, commended the firm for taking the bold step to subject its activities to scrutiny by a third party to conform to the world acclaimed ISO Quality Management Systems Standard which promotes efficiency, coupled with customer satisfaction in service delivery.
The SON Chief Executive stated that the law broadcast in Pidgin English on radio being undertaken by ACE Solicitors would go a long way in further educating Nigerians on their rights and privileges and also promote understanding of the laws of the federation better.
He said: “This is focused towards customer satisfaction, a drive to make sure that you render services to the grassroots in a manner that no one has done before”.
Chairman of Ace Solicitors, Mr. Bright Igbako, in his remarks said the broadcast of law in Pidgin English would help in decongesting the courts of many cases by taking law to the door steps of ordinary citizens for better understanding.
“We believe that to be able to make law relevant to a cross section of Nigerians, to understand the environment in which they work, the legal system that governs the work and their lives must be interpreted to them in a language they understand,” Igbako said.
