Sokoto State Youth Congress commends Tambuwal over defection

A group under the auspices of Sokoto State Youth Congress (SSYC) has congratulated the Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on his recent defection to All Progressives Congress (APC).

The group described the decision taken by the Speaker as patriotism, visionary and having the interest of Sokoto people at his mind.

In a statement released to Journalists in Sokoto on Wednesday and signed by the group State Chairman, Alhaji Bello Isah added that the step is an indication of his commitment in ensuring political cohesion, and unity among his constituents.

The statement further stated thus; “This action to all the members and people of Sokoto state is seen as best option toward sustaining his positive legacy and political aspiration for the betterment of the state.

“With this defection, the Speaker Tambuwal has indicated his genuine commitment of ensuring political cohesion, unity and loyalty on the future of his people.”

The group further noted that the people of the state especially youths are long yearning for a loyal and discipline successor for the incumbent governor at the expiration of his tenure.

“Surely, defection of Speaker Aminu Tambuwal is a good timing and will ensure the political equation by bringing politician with vast experience, commitment, and fear of God to administer the state for positive transformation and development.

“We congratulate him on this decisive decision that brings lots of blessing to entire youths of the state. Therefore, we assured him that he will be our next governor in order to justify his political commitment and transformation visions for the progress of our state,” the group vowed.

The group also maintained that its members would rally round and support his political aspiration in the forthcoming general elections.
