The State Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alhaji Labaran Dundaye has commended the state governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko over the renovation of its secretariat.
He said that the gesture would no doubt, provide a befitting Press Centre for Journalists in the state.
Dundaye spoke yesterday while commenting on the commencement of the project. “This will in turn enhance their productivity as they will have a more conducive atmosphere for all the working Journalists in the state.
“We will continue to cherish the existing cordial relations between the state government and Journalists in the state.
“We will continue to work diligently and objectively in line with the ethics of the profession,” Dundaye, added.
Also commenting, the contractor, Alhaji Mohammed Bello promised to work in line with the specifications within one month.
“I will not fail the people of the state and the union, and would execute a befitting job,” he added.
It could be recalled that the state government on Monday commenced the rehabilitation of the centre at the cost of N24 million.
