Social responsibility: Students embark on street cleaning in Kaduna

As part of its corporate social responsibility, staff and students of Dialogue Girls College, yesterday embarked on cleaning some streets and Mosque within Kaduna metropolis.
The students who moved from the school premises in queues matched towards the Angwar Sarkin junction led by the principal of the school Mrs. Shekinatu Nasir.
The students and the staff in their hundreds on arrival at Angwar Sarkin junction swept the street and picked up all refuses in sight.
All the refuses were gathered and burnt.
From there, they proceeded to LEA Primary School Angwar Sarkin equipped with cleaning tools such as rakes, shovels, brooms etc. They moved into the school premises gathering all the refuses.
A staff of LEA Primary School, Abubakar expressed delight at the feat of the student saying it is commendable.
The next point of call was the Mosque in front of the Emir of Zazzau, Kaduna Guest House where they cleaned the in and out of the Mosque thoroughly and all cobwebs were removed.
The Ladan of the Mosque, Bashir commended the staff and the students for finding time to clean the Mosque; he said their reward is not only in this world but hereafter as stated by the Prophet of Allah.
Speaking to journalists at the venue, the school principal, Mrs. Shekinatu Nasir said the founder of Dialogue Girls College, Kaduna set up the school as a way of giving back to the community from what he has achieved in life and not to make profit.
“In view of the philosophy of the founder, we as staff and student decided to come out and perform our corporate social activities by cleaning up areas within our vicinity, we have been doing that since 2013 insha Allah we’ll sustain it,” She said.
