Special adviser to the President on social investment programme Hajiya Maryam Uwais has solicited Gombe state government support in order to enhance children livelihood.
She made it known when she paid a courtesy call on governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya at government house chamber on Monday.
She said the memorandum of understanding which was signed between Gombe state government and social investment programme was aimed at bringing children out of poverty.
She said social investment programme is working tirelessly to ensure that children are engaged in vocational training.
She said the programme is working with National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) to ensure that children get adequate orientation.
Gombe state governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in his remark said his administration will not hesitate to support the programme, assuring that his government is committed.
