From Femi Oyelola Kaduna

The President of United Church of Christ in Nations also called HEKAN Rev.Amos Kiri has said politicians are elected to serve the people and not to sheath their blood.
He made the assertion during a pastoral ordination service for newly appointed Reverend of the Church held in Kaduna yesterday.
Rev. Kiri expressed displeasure over the attitude of politicians of making politics a do or die affairs.
According to him, if politics is about services to humanity then there is no need to kill anybody in other to serve them.
He lamented the rate at which people are being killed across the country because of political reasons.
“As the electioneering year is fast approaching it is my call to all politicians to play by the rules.
“The interest of the people should be Paramount important to you their lives property and freedom must be protected by you because you will one day called by your creator to accounts for what you did in the office,” he said.
Speaking to the newly ordained Revered Mark Buzun and Emmanuel Farar ,Kiri said they are coming into the ministry when the end times when temptations abound.
He therefore admonished them to make the world of God their companion and pray without season.
Responding on behalf of the ordained pastor, Rev Mark Buzun said the call into the ministry is a challenge but God that called them will ensure they succeed.
He however, called on the church to support them with prayers for their success.
