Shun bribery, corruption, other negative acts, corps members told

The national chairman, National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) Governing Board, Chief Gordon Bozimo, has enjoined current National Youth Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in their orientation camp at Kangyere, Bauchi state to shun bribery and corruption.

Bozimo made the call yesterday, when he addressed the 2702 Batch C corps members drawn from tertiary institutions of learning across the country, charging them to also avoid other negative acts that obstruct peace and truncate democracy.

Represented by Dr. Bala Adamu Azare on the visit to the Kangyere NYSC temporary camp, Bozimo assured ” your security is well assured wait y the deployment of heavily armed security personnel to check mate activities of trouble makers in camp any during elections”.

He also revealed that the participation of corps members in election duties has restored the confidence of the electorates, and challenged them not to perform below the expectation of Nigeria during their national assignment.

The NYSC national Governing Board, he informed, is concerned about the menace of youth unemployment and is working to expand frontiers of skills acquisition as a panacea to post- service placement.

On the N4000 non- mandatory payment of registration, which is not limits to printing of call- up letter, being misunderstood, the NYSC boss said, it is in keeping with the digital world, as the deployment of ICT fast-tracks the registration process, reduce risk of travel long by domestic and international graduates and other attendant inconveniences.

Earlier, Alhaji Musa Abubakar informed his visitors that he was satisfied with the high level of discipline shows by the 2702 corpers in the camp.
