Shehu Sani refutes rumor of quitting APC

From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna

The Senator representing Kaduna Central in the Upper Chamber, Shehu Sani has debunked the allegations making waves that he has resigned and quit as a member of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC). The media aide to the Senator, Chima Abdulsamad disclosed this in a telephone conversation with Peoples’ Daily in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, the Senator, Shehu Sani, is still a member of the party and the statement was the handiwork of people who want him out of the party by all means.
“We know where this statement is coming from and those responsible for it, but surprisingly the media (nor Peoples’ Daily) that published and broadcast the fake news did not get the senator’s reaction on this.
“Anybody can issue any statement on behalf of government functionaries; but it is left for the media to do their thorough job by verifying the authenticity of such statement. We, however, commended those who took time to contact us on this rumor which is another plot to dent the image of the Senator.
“Let me also assure you that this will only sprang the senator to do more for the downtrodden in the country, and remain the voice of the voiceless in Kaduna state,” he said.
