Count down to the 2019 general elections, the senator representing Nasarawa Southern Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the National Assembly, Suleiman Asonya Adokwe, has admonished Nigerians to exhibit high sense of responsibility towards ensuring smooth and peaceful conduct during and after the elections.
Senator Adokwe who is currently the Senate Committee Chairman on Information, made the assertion yesterday while addressing party supporters in Obi, Awe, Agwatashi and Azaza towns respectively, for his reelection bid to the Senate.
According to him “The way you have been supporting my ambition I called on you to support me this time to represent and continue my good work for you as witnessed in the areas of federal projects in my constituency.
“I urge you to vote wisely in order to elect leaders of impeccable characters that would bring development to your door steps”, Adokwe added.
He further told his supporters to grab their voters card with them during the exercise as, according to him “your card is your voting right”.
The campaign train of Senator Adokwe also visited the palaces of Emir of Awe, Emir of Azaza, Osuko Obi, Agwatashi and Deddere to seek for Royal blessings during the elections.
In his remark at the palace, the Osuko of Obi, Alhaji Dangiwa Ogiri, called on politicians seeking political offices to play the game diligently for peace to reign in the country, just as he said “God is the only supreme that gives power to whom He wishes”.
