The Senator representing Niger South Senatorial District of Niger State, Senator Mohammed Bima Enagi has told his people to ensure peace and peaceful coexistence in their communities if meaningful development could be achieved.
Senator Enagi gave the charge yesterday at Ja’agi in Mokwa local government while on a sympathy visit to the community over the recent crisis that led to several injured and many properties destroyed during the process
He urged them to be patient, united and tolerance with each other despite their differences hence the need to achieve development as violence can not bring growth and development to any society.
He pleaded with them to bury their differences and forgive one another to foster unity for the entire progress of their community.
The Senator was at the palace of the village head, Alhaji Iliyasu Kolo Tako to commiserate with him and his people over the unfortunate crisis and prayed for them as well donated undisclosed amounts of money to the community after meeting with both parties to remain calm.
It could be recalled that the people of the community could not hold their Idil Kabir prayer because the crisis erupted at the prayer ground by the two factions in the community, however gathered that 10 cars and 17 motorcycles were destroyed in addition to injuries inflicted on each other.
Meanwhile, the Senator also visited Katcha communities where he led his team to Gbakogi and inspected the collapsing bridge that connect them with Lafiyagi Kulli and Badeggi which was completed by late Governor, Engr Abdullahi Abdulkadir Kure.
Bima also inspected the three washed away bridges along Badeggi to Katcha road cutting off the communities along the route especially at Chado-Yegi, Ezhi- Woro and Ambero who lamented over lack of market for their farm produce calling for the urgent intervention of governments.
.He assured of redeeming all his campaign promises to the electorates but charged them to be patient and reassured the communities that he will inform the government appropriately on their plight.
While in Badeggi palace of the village head Alhaji Yahaya Salihu appealed for the renovation ofu the youth centre, revive moribund Rice Mills established by President Shehu Usman Shagari and skills acquisition programme for youths and women in the area.
