The immediate past Governor of Kwara state, Dr Bukola Saraki has commiserated with the family of Alhaji Adamu Attah- the first Executive Governor of Kwara state, whose death has just been announced.
Saraki, who is representing Kwara Central Senatorial district at the National Assembly in a statement issued and signed in Ilorin yesterday, described his death came to him as painful and a sad one.
He said: “the death of His Excellency, Alhaji Adamu Attah- the first Executive Governor of Kwara state; a statesman of repute, and a stakeholder in the Nigeria project whose records and antecedent are clear in the history of Kwara and Nigerian politics.
“Though gone, the impact of Alhaji Adamu Attah cannot be under estimated in Kwara politics and apparently, his role and contributions in the administration of Kwara State. His departure is painful, but the fact that his wealth of wisdom in the history of Kwara state administration will be missed is more painful.”
“I commiserate with immediate family of Alhaji Attah, the people of Kogi state and most especially the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Idris Wada , the Kwara state and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, and the entire people of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole for losing one of our illustrious sons. “
Saraki prayed that Almighty Allah, to comfort his family and grants the departed soul Aljanna Fridaus.
