The National leadership of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, has said that, the second term of President Muhammadu Buhari will definitely usher into the country the next level of change agenda policy of his government.
The Executive National President of RTEAN, Comrade Eriyo Osakpamwan who spoke with journalists in Abuja immediately after the oath taking of President Muhammadu Buhari for second term said the country needs to move ahead, especially in the context of what challenges and promises it holds.
Comrade Eriyo said in this respect is the fact that even by his own admission, Buhari’s quest for a second term betrays his consideration of the first term as an unfinished project, and requires a second term to deliver on his agenda.
“This then accentuates the need to facilitate a change that offers Nigerians a better deal in his second term. From any angle it is viewed, and perhaps for no fault of his own, to refer to the next four years as challenging for Nigeria, may actually be an understatement.
This is just as it offers sundry expectations for the leadership in the country.”
Comrade Eriyo therefore called on all Nigerians in respective of the political affiliation to support the President policies of his next level agenda.
RTEAN also described the Inspector General of Police Adamu Mohammed as a man of impeccable character , saying that his appointment was well deserved.
The RTEAN President, Comrade Eriyo Osakpamwan said considering the personal accomplishments of the man, IGP confermation by President Buhari is well deserved
He expressed optimism that Mohammed would bring professionalism and true leadership to policing in the country RTEAN can attest to his solid pedigree and rich experience. He is, arguably , the most qualified serving Police officer in this time to occupy the very sensitive office of the I-G.
“We sincerely wishes that the new top cop will harness his experiences from previous offices , at home and abroad , with dexterity to curb crime , ensure peace in the entire country and once again propound the policing principles that will lead Nigerians to believe that police, is their friend .”
