Nigerians have been advised to resist the clamour by members of the international community to impose the culture of homosexuality in the country.
The advice was given by a group, known as ‘Nigeria for Life’, in a statement issued by its National coordinator, Dr. Bernard Nba.
The group noted that since the enactment of the law by President Goodluck Jonathan penalising persons found practicing homosexuality in the country and condemning culprits to a 14-year jail term, leaders of the international community have come up with various attempt to foil the president’s intension.
“Since the courageous decision by President Goodluck Jonathan to sign the anti-same sex bill, the countries of Europe and their multinational leaders, who are the promoters of this culture of death, have mounted pressure on the president and government on the need to reverse the decision.
From all indications, the countries of the western world, their international donor agencies and their Nigerian collaborators are not prepared to relent in their efforts to pressure Nigeria to endorse the
culture of death through granting of fundamental rights to those practicing homosexuality under the guise of promoting a so-called freedom of choice”, he stated.
They called on Nigerians to rise against the promotion of homosexuality and abortion legalization, all aimed at satisfying the unholy demands of the western world.
The group further stated that it will embark upon various other forms of sensitisation, in order to acquaint the public about the dangers of homosexuality and save the country from moral slavery.
