Restructuring: Nigerians cautioned against heating the polity

An elder statesman, Ahmad Joda has cautioned Nigerians against over heating up of the polity in the name of restructuring and devolution of power by political leaders across the country.
Joda observed that it will suicidal for Nigeria to be allowed to disintegrate in the name agitating for restructuring noting that the unity of Nigeria must be guarded jealously in the interest of all and sundry.
Joda made the observation Thursday in Yola during the All Progressive Congress,APC Zonal Adamawa/Taraba states public meeting on ‘True Federation’ stressing keeping Nigeria as one united country is the desire of the majority of Nigerians.
He urged federating units to be apt in ensuring maximum services to the electorate so that government presence can be impacted.
Earlier in his opening remark, chairman of APC committee of the meeting, Professor O.A Osobor said the APC as a political party is concerned with the plight of Nigerians and informed the gathering to proper solutions to our yearnings as a people.
Osobor who was a former governor of Edo state explained that, the policy of the party in fulfilling commitments made to Nigerians will be attained following the ongoing exercise.
Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla of Adamawa state commended the efforts of APC party for organising such incisive summit for its people.
Jibrilla said the position of his government and people of the state on the unity of Nigeria remain non negotiable saying staying together as a nation has more advantage to all.
