The Chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido has urged Muslims in the FCT and across the country to use the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan and pray for peace and unity of the country.
Candido in his goodwill message to the Muslims, said he sees the month as a month of reconnection between Allah and His servants to seek for forgiveness and Allah’s Mercy through commitment and dedication to worship.
He urged the Muslims to feed the poor, the needy and the Orphans as one of the practices of the Noble Prophet Muhammad ( SAW) even if it’s with half a date (Dabino ).
The AMAC Chairman through his Chief Press Secretary, Jibreel Muhammad Babangoshi assured the people of the council that with their prayers, his Administration will perform better than he did the first tenure.
Candido who thanked residents of the Council for their unflinching support during his first tenure in office and gave him another three-year mandate.
He therefore promised to take AMAC to the NextChapter by 20th of may, 2019, when the first tenure elapsed which will usher in a new chapter.
